Auditions

We’re always looking for exceptional acoustic musicians to feature in our Sessions series. If you’d like to be considered, please provide your info, including a brief description of your music, in the form below. We are particularly interested in acoustic performances featuring 3-5 musicians, but we welcome all submissions.

GUIDELINES

The following guidelines make it more likely that we will consider your group. While they are not strict rules, they support our approach to immersive video with Sessions.

  • Acoustic Performances: We are looking for acoustic musicians that can deliver captivating performances without any electric amplification.

  • Ensemble Size: Ideal groups consist of two to five musicians, though solo performers and groups up to six or so will also be considered.

  • Musical Diversity: We are looking to present the widest range of musical styles possible. Our first video features a bluegrass group, so we are not looking for bluegrass at this time.

  • Skill Level: We seek musicians with exceptional skill who can deliver powerfully impressive performances both technically and emotionally.

  • Song-Based Repertoire: Given the broad appeal of songs, ensembles that feature singing are preferred, but not required. If your ensemble includes vocal harmonies, that’s even better. That said, we do expect to feature some artists that are instrumental only.

  • No Keyboards or Drums: Keyboards and drum kits are discouraged at this time, as they introduce staging challenges we are not ready to address. Percussion is acceptable, as long as the volume level does not intrude on the ability to hear the other players unamplified. One exception might be an all percussion group in which no amplification is required to hear any individual player.
